Marieke, who is a newcomer to Postcrossing,
sent me this great picture of the bulb
fields of Holland. She says you can see these
fields by driving around in the Springtime.
I remember that, when we visited Holland,
we did just that--drove around and looked
at many of the bulb fields where tulips and
hyacinths and many other flowers were
blooming. Also in some of those fields, were
some machines that were driving along
cutting off the blooms from the flowers.
They are grown for the bulbs, not the flowers!
I do love this picture, Marieke. It brings
back so many wonderful memories!
