This is the beautiful blue Danube River as it isflowing through Mautern in the Wachau region
of Austria. The bridge crosses the river and,
on the other side, there is a Benedictine Abbey.
My friend, Earney, lives in this beautiful place!
She said the Danube is a very romantic river,
especially at night when the lights are shining
on it. Thank you, Earney, for the beautiful
picture. Although my home is in Texas, the picture
makes me 'homesick' for this beautiful river!

shows a flower called
'waldrebe'. It think it may
be a wood rose.
